Is there a household busier than one with pre-teen twins? We think not. That is the delightful makeup in the home of Brenda and Ken Smith, parents of Katie and Sarah, who soon enter sixth grade at San Antonio Christian Schools.
When the family built their north central San Antonio home three years ago, they looked to John-William Interiors to join in the planning. It became the assignment of Gloria Maul, Texas Registered Interior Designer, to create the formal atmosphere that Brenda desired while simultaneously generating a warm nurturing environment in which to raise two young girls — the latter being THE priority. With 27 years of design experience (four with John-William Interiors) and a license that requires continuing education, she was prepared.
The style of the home is French, and a bright slate walkway welcomes visitors to the massive double front door and into the formal entry with its barrel ceiling. Stepping inside, the tempting aroma of brownies wafts through the air. Katie and Sarah have baked a treat for visitors — their being not unlike their mother, who is known for her culinary gifts.
