Beautiful sound systems
for the home

by Shannon Hurst Lane

Designing and decorating a home is not all about what you can see. Many homeowners are designing homes around what they, and their guests, can hear.

Entertaining is an integral part of any social life, and providing a setting that can fulfill this requirement can lead homeowners on an endless search for the perfect home stereo system. More importantly, a quality audio system can create a peaceful home environment that will make your nest a restful retreat at the end of a long day, for nothing soothes the soul like the sound of beautiful music.

The trend for today’s home stereo design is “heard, but not seen,” so hidden speakers and one-touch commands are in high demand for designers in today’s finest homes. There can be music in the air at all times — and in the walls and garden, too! “As you move from room to room, good in-ceiling audio will make music follow you and will float in and out of your rooms to create a really pleasing ambience,” says home audio expert Roger Tiller of Blue Marble Audio of San Antonio.
